This exhibition is all about repurposing discarded materials and its transformation into multi layered compositions reflecting my interest in the natural world and the imagination. New forms are given life out of found imagery.
On one level I am drawn to abstract pattern, and I have developed an interest in landscape and still life. This is a natural evolution in my Surrealist interpretation of literal representation.
I meticulously hand cut and overlay with paint and drawing onto a flat plane, Traditional methods in an otherwise digital world.
The image is then scanned and reproduced in its unadulterated form in a limited edition series of 10.
